An OCT (Original Character Tournament)/ OCL (Original Character League) is when people make character(s) and have them battle or interact with other peoples characters, in any form of artistic medium, so that could be a comic or a story.
An OCT is often quite competitive, with a tournament/ladder structure.
An OCL is a more freeform way of doing this where an artist asks another artist if they would like to have their OC's interact or battle. (Kind of like a pokemon battle c:)
The criteria for judging will probably change from event to event. If the characters had to escape a trap, the judges might be looking for which one of them does so most effectively.
The first event should be a very basic fight, so it will more than likely be the person that creates the most entertaining entry that would get the judges vote. What you have to do will be revealed before the start of each "event", as well as the person you will be competing against(or maybe even working with!).
